Many would agree, Penny was the perfect owner for Secretariat. The note next to Secretariat’s name was simply, “Wow!’ It has been said that Penny kept notes on their horses and foals. Secretariat was a massive colt, quick to stand and nurse with a presence about him that captivated everyone at the farm from the very beginning.
